John McCain and the Trilateral Commission, Who Does He Really Work For?

John McCain and the trilateral commission comes up in prominent topics these days.

To the public at large-those who have heard of it-the Trilateral Commission is a private organization that fosters closer cooperation between the U.S., Europe, and Japan.

It is also the focus of many manipulations of power and control in what are deemed to be conspiracy theories by the media and others. 

In 1979, Senator Barry Goldwater’s book With No Apologies stated that:

“The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power-political, monetary, intellectual, and ecclesiastical.”

Most elected Presidents, or those in their close counsel and administration (or both) have been members of the Trilateral Commission since its inception in 1973. 

This includes Bush, Sr., Clinton, V.P. Cheney, and many of the supporters and advisers of both Barack Obama’s and John McCain’s campaigns in 2008.

A look at John McCain and the Trilateral Commission shows that not only does the Senator have the backing of high-up Trilateral members like Henry Kissinger, George Schultz, Lawrence Eagleburger, and Alexander Haig (all of whom issued a joint endorsement of McCain).

One of the principal founders of the Trilateral Commission was David Rockefeller, who also has strong family ties with the Council on Foreign Relations’ (CFR) inception and who served as its Chairman from 1970-1985 (during the time the Trilateral Commission was created).

The CFR has also boasted such notable members as Bill Moyers, Dick Cheney, and, sure enough, John McCain.

Obama, McCain and the Trilateral Commission

While the ties between John McCain and the Trilateral Commission are telling, so are the ties between Barack Obama and the same.

In Obama’s case, one of the co-founders, Zbigniew Brzeninski, appears to be his principal foreign policy advisor and was instrumental in getting Hillary Clinton (whose husband is a current Trilateral member) appointed to Obama’s cabinet in this role.

Other top members of the Commission have endorsed or are closely associated with Obama, including: Paul Volker, Madeleine Albright, and former President Jimmy Carter. 

Going back to John McCain and the Trilateral Commission, key members of his campaign and proposed policy teams included several Trilateral members. 

Economic advisor Gerry Parsky, Fred Smith (CFR), Senator Fred Thompson (CFR), and others. 

John McCain participated in the 1996 Annual Meeting of the Trilateral Commission in Vancouver as a highlighted contributor. 

Both he and Obama were in California speaking to the racist group, the National Council of La Raza, at the same time that the Bohemian Grove festivities were going on.

Trilateral Commission Under Fire

The Trilateral Commission has come under fire from various groups such as the John Birch Society and the Florida Conservative Union for being proponents of a one world government.

This “New World Order”, in the words of prominent Trilateral member George H.W. Bush, is espoused in the Commission’s emphasis on “interdependence” between member regions (which now comprises much of the world) in economics, trade, and defense.

Jeremiah Novak wrote,

“…the Trilateralists pinpointed a vital political objective: to gain control of the American Presidency.”

That was in 1977, a year after Jimmy Carter was elected. Every President since, including Mr. Carter, has been affiliated with the Trilateral Commission, usually as a member.

What Does the Commission Do?

No matter how you consider it, and whether you consider it a good or a bad thing, the ties between Barack Obama, John McCain and the Trilateral Commission are unmistakable and obvious.

Since members of this group and its parent group, the Council on Foreign Relations, have been in control of the Presidency of this country since 1976, it is not difficult to see why both of those who rose to prominence aspiring to become President of the United States have close relations with the Commission.

The real question here is what the purpose of the Trilateral Commission is and how it goes about accomplishing its goals.
