The Path to Justice of the Supreme Court.

A justice of the Supreme Court is one of four or five key people in the U.S., though some may believe that being able to create laws makes a Senator or Congressman the most important political figure. 

At the top of some lists of most-important are the President, the Speaker of the House and the justices of the Supreme Court. 

It may be best to follow one line of thought, or one story, to shed light on why this is true, especially in the 21st century when major international corporations benefit from widespread military action instigated by the U.S. 

The Supreme Court of the United States has significant impact on foreign policy as conducted by the United States. 

There is no more telling evidence than in court decisions from the first four or five years of the Bush administration that directly impacted how the politicians could conduct their so-called war on terror. 

In considering the impact of the Supreme Court it is important to remember that, on the surface, the war is being conducted to protect the security of the nation and its people.

In this sense, the court has a sworn duty to work in the interests of the population. 

However, the monetary benefits accrued by government contractors are just as important to those involved, because financial gain is a prime motivator in the war on terror.

In this light, it seems a justice of the Supreme Court should step back and consider again the interests of U.S. citizens.

So, Does this Happen? 

It’s time to take a closer look at the issue of being a justice of the Supreme Court when that job relates to conducting U.S. foreign policy. 

The Supreme Court ruled, in two cases, that the people held in Guantanamo Bay as enemy combatants had the right to challenge their detention using the United States court system. 

In a third case, the Supreme Court ruled that U.S. citizens who were called enemy combatants by the Bush administration also had access to the U.S. courts so that they could challenge captivity. 

This had a major effect on the way the administration could conduct its war, and consequently had significant effect on some of the government contractors who were closely associated with capturing, holding and interrogating the prisoners.

Things are Changing Now, Right? 

Well, yes and no. We all know that Barack Obama has had problems with men he appointed to the Cabinet. 

Indeed, the President may have deeper trouble than a secretary or adviser that forget to pay or avoiding paying taxes. 

In fact, at least two men who have been placed in positions of authority, as representatives of the United States in foreign lands, have long histories with powers behind the scenes such as the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bilderberg Group. 

Why is this significant, when the discussion is about the role of a justice of the Supreme Court and a justice’s influence on the conduct of the so-called war on terror.

Dig just a bit deeper and the answer becomes clearer, though learning the truth means following the money.

Calling Shots, Pulling Strings

The Bilderberg Group is an unofficial association, and attending one of its conferences means you have been invited as a decision maker in politics, international business and finance. 

Meetings are held in luxury accommodations with agendas that are not open to media or anyone else who is not invited.

Member lists are also kept secret, though some individual members are a bit open about attending meetings. 

These members have access and influence with Presidents who can appoint a justice of the Supreme Court, an elite court that can then have direct influence on the conduct of a profitable foreign policy, as described above.
