The Constitution and the executive branch have been at odds for the last few years, since George Bush entered the Oval Office with Dick Cheney as his second in command.

Of all the duos that have ever sat in the White House, none has poisoned, stripped and belittled our Constitution quite like Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney have done.

The power of the executive branch has grown out of proportion since then, as they changed laws and trampled on the freedom of the American nation.

The United States came very close to becoming an autocratic system, and now with President Obama in power, the Constitution and the executive branch will have more reach than ever before.

The Constitution has been ignored as the executive branch of government continues to abuse its power, forsake its duties and avoid being held responsible for the exclusive decisions that it makes.

Fundamentally, it was Bush and Cheney that gave the go ahead to invade the Middle East, for no other reason but personal gain.

Yes, they were acting on orders by the inimical wealthy elite, while using their authority to widen and deepen the power the banks have over all of our lives.

Never before has a government executive branch been so openly involved with the puppet masters in the background and never before have we found ourselves in so much debt.

Commander in Chief

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

– Presidential oath, US Constitution

During Bush’s maniacal reign as President he hardly remembered this pledge at all.

The executive branch slowly made sure the legislative branch played its part in giving them supreme control over the fake war they perpetrated for monetary gain.

Absolute Power

Strict detainment acts were passed, prisoners of the War on Terror were tortured, the American people were lied to and our civil rights were endangered and revoked.

Not only has the executive branch become an untouchable institution but also has made the judicial branch bend to its will on more than one occasion.

The entire democratic system known as our Constitution has been succeeded by the power the executive branch now exerts.

Instead of upholding the constitution Bush and Cheney used it to push their way into other countries, creating a subservient nation of Americans blind to the corrupt elitists ruling them.

As this quote above proves, the constitution and the executive branch are not always on the same page.

Bush removed the right to habeas corpus from detainees and he has actively pursued a controllable police state deeming a federalized police force.

Total Power

“The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

The American people could have argued that Bush deserved to be impeached on the basis that he violated the oath that he took to protect the American people and our Constitution.

The Constitution and the executive branch has become an unchecked power, and now that it has passed to Obama, we all wait to see if he will stand for what is right, or manipulate his way into the hearts of the people while continuing the abuse of the American Constitution.
