The evolution of American education finance policy shows the historic and current conditions of the school system and analyzes whether or not progress has beem made.

The current state of the school system suggests that progress has been slow, but yet have seemed to come a long way.

During historic times, students of a specific race had to deal with segregation and no finance efforts as it applied to their community let alone their public schools.

It was not until the Civil Rights movement that attention was riveted to the acts of unfairness to students of the African American descent and culture.

There was so much ignorance during the times of slavery where education was never offered to slaves for fear that they would revolt.

So have we made progress and is there much work to be done?

Yes, progress has been made, but the country still struggles to educate its populace of young people to the level that they need to be so that they can compete globally.

The evolution of American education reveals that our history plays a part as to where we are today in the education arena.

If one could go back and change things of the past, America probably would be further along because the students who were deprived of education would have made an impact in their society with regards to productivity.

However, since no one can go back, we can move forward to improve the financial policies that serve to limit the kind of education that young people receive.



The Governing Structure

The American education system has a governing structure that needs to be examined.

The revenue and distribution of resources provided by these governing forces indicate that more can be done.

Equal education, efficiency and freedom of choice are the public values that shape the education process.

The evolution of American Education implies that economics are important to education and the people who hold finances hostage are the governing principals.

The concepts of economics have to be applied wisely in order for students to get the most out of such actions.

Investing in young people is the paramount and ideal plan that government should embrace. This is where the country is lacking confidence.

It is certainly a disparity that keeps repeating itself; it might just be one of those things that we don’t want to happen.

Litigation for educational reform is a revolving door of who is right and who is not.

There doesn’t seem to be a common ground that these governing bodies can agree to for the good of the children.


Making the Change for Progress

Schools are accountable for standardized test and increasing the scores so that they look good to the public.

However, that certainly undermines the real progress that students need to make when it comes to not only academics, but real life skills, citizenship, social skills, and work ethics that they will need in the real world.

The evolution of American education indicates that the continuation of this practice will limit the progress that children will make and their need for survival when they get to live in the real scope of things.
