A Voice of Dissent Keeps the Masses from Ruling

A Voice of Dissent Keeps The Masses Honest.

For years teachers have been telling students not to be afraid to ask questions. There are no stupid questions, just unasked ones.

“If you think it is stupid,” teachers will say, “chances are it is the same one that several other people have but are too afraid to ask.”

Don’t be afraid; speak up.

The same concept applies when it comes to the form of government present in the United States; a government for the people, by the people.

It can be easy for people to just agree with whatever the popular opinion is regardless of whether they agree with it or understand it.

It can be intimidating to speak out, to be different than the rest.

However, if no one does than what we effectively do is create our own form of tyranny
