Advantages of a Free Market
Believing in the Advantages of a Free Market Allows Citizens to Believe in the Illusion of a Better Future.
The elite know that most everyone would like to believe in a future where all their needs are taken care of and they do not have to worry, so they are pushing the advantages of a free market to you.
People like to believe that they can create an enormous amount of wealth for themselves simply by having a good idea and pursuing their dreams.
In fact the term American dream was created with this principle in mind and it has been widely accepted by citizens as not only being possible, but to be expected.
Ever since the soldiers returned from World War II, there has been an idea that small businesses are everyone’s right as a citizen.
You have been made to think that by starting a small business you will be able to grow the company as large as you would like for it to be.
The idea of the free market is in the name itself by thinking that the market is free for anyone to take advantage of however they want to.
The elite want you to believe that you can be the next Coca-Cola or Microsoft and that the sky is the limit.
Companies like Wal-Mart have proven that this is simply not true because they stop small businesses in their tracks.
Wal-Mart spreads across the land opening new stores in almost every small town and major city that can support them.
The huge company targets the customers of the small towns by offering low prices that they say will make their lives better.
The prices are definitely more affordable for consumers and it draws them away from the smaller businesses they have shopped at all their lives.
With the customers all going to the big stores there is no one buying from the small businesses that people thought would carry them through retirement.
They are forced eventually to close their doors forever because they cannot compete with the predatory prices that Wal-Mart offers consumers.
While there may be advantages of a free market, they are all skewed towards the end of the big businesses and not for the average citizen.
Free Market for Big Government
The advantages of a free market are not ones that most people can enjoy as they seem to only benefit the major corporations.
The government has seen to this by passing all sorts of laws that protect the interests of the large corporations while marginalizing the needs of the average citizen.
It should come as no surprise the government would act in the interest of the big businesses seeing as they donate heavily to the campaign funds of each politician.
On top of funding the campaigns in order to get the bills they want before Congress, they fund the lobbying efforts to get them passed.
Free Market for Welfare
The advantages of a free market can be seen every day in the food stamp lines across America.
There are more citizens on welfare today then ever in the history of the program because there are companies like Wal-Mart spreading across the land closing down small businesses.
When the small businesses in a small town close, the employees are forced to go to work in the one place that is hiring which is the Wal-Mart.
Being paid minimum wage means there is no way they can make ends meet and are forced to take advantage of government aid.
