Bailout Funds Bonuses and Taxpayer Question the Validity of Such Actions

Bailout Funds Bonuses and Leaves Taxpayers on the Hook for Billions of Dollars.

Bailout funds bonuses so executives have no need to worry about lost wages.

Isn’t it ironic that the very people that were able to run these industries into the ground so far that bailouts and bankruptcy were there only options, won’t miss even a penny of their bonuses.

There’s something wrong with the idea that taxpayers who are struggling during tough economic times are going to be on the hook not just for the bailouts of these large corporations but also in ensuring that their executives get there millions of dollars in wages and bonuses.

These executives will make more in one year than most of us will in our lifetime.

The idea that industries looking for bailouts don’t have to make any sacrifices themselves is enough to have most of us seeing red.

Considering the other option that without bailouts not only would they not have their bonuses they would not have their regular wages because they would be unemployed. But let’s dig a little deeper.

Why is this even up for discussion, after all in times like this wouldn’t it simply be expected that no one would receive bonuses regardless of previous years.

It seems the rules of the few are much different than the rules of the many.

To insult to injury these executives show up in Washington for their debriefing in their own private company jets.

That’s certainly a way to show fiscal responsibility isn’t it.

One might ask if a CEO and his executives were interested in preserving a company and ensuring its well being into the future, would they not start by cutting expenses internally including bonuses and corporate jets.

Bailout Funds Bonuses to the Tune of a Trillion Dollars

Markets continue to free fall, jobs continue to disappear, and families continue to lose homes.

All around us there’s a great deal of gloom about the recession and the state of the economy, yet bailout funds are set aside to ensure that bonuses are paid.

When we are talking about these bonuses within the financial industry they account for more than 6 billion dollars. That’s ludicrous.

But wait, add the bonuses from the auto industry, the insurance industry, and the mortgage industry, and you aren’t talking billions anymore. You are now talking trillions.

Taxpayers Aid Wealthy Crooks

While we listen to Obama drone on about the economy and the health of the nation, the bailouts being put together in Washington DC do nothing for the economy or the health of the nation.

If you thought that the bailout of these industries would help the country and help keep America’s employed you’d be wrong.

These bailouts are going to do nothing for employment in this country and everything to ensure wealthy crooks are able to line their pockets with billions of dollars in bailout money.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. So while you chant yes we canthink about how trillions of dollars in bailout funds bonuses are given out while you struggle to hold onto your home.

Yes we certainly can but should we?
