Car GPS Navigation Devices: Government Spy? Car GPS Navigation Devices are Preparing Us for Relentless Surveillance
Car GPS Navigation Devices are Preparing us for Relentless Surveillance.
Car GPS navigation devices have been marketed as helpful map-reading tools. Gone are the days when we had to pull over at the side of the road to check our map book for directions; now automated voice GPS devices tell us how to find our destination.
GPS devices function by using a constellation of satellites. These satellites are able to locate and track an individual’s every move. We’ve witnessed and experienced the benefits of using GPS navigational devices, but are we aware of the risks associated with them?
The truth is that many of the technologically advanced gadgets that we currently embrace, like the internet, RFID chipped passports, cell phones, and GPS devices, are being used to covertly undermine our civil rights and liberties.
These technologically advanced gadgets will progressively be used against us as we become more accustomed to using them on a day-to-day basis. We have already seen the opportunistic approach of law-enforcement.
Police have taken to placing minuscule GPS devices on whoever’s car they choose. Apparently, GPS makes our fourth amendment rights redundant. This is a telling example of how high-tech gadgets will increasingly be used to circumvent our constitutional rights.
Car GPS Navigation Devices: Opportunistic
The plan to tax drivers for every mile that they drive has been in the pipeline for quite some time. Currently, the proposed system is gaining legitimacy.
In 2008, a $16.5 million Road User Charge Study tested the program on 2 700 drivers from six states. Cars were fitted with GPS devices to determine the distances that road users drive.
Big Brother Slippery Slope
If this tax per mile system is implemented any time soon, GPS technology will not only allow officials to tax us per mile, it will also make our daily movements available for government surveillance. The whole process is a slippery slope.
First manufacturers market GPS navigational devices for leisure activities, then law-enforcement co-opts the technology for covert tracking, subsequently the government proposes making money by using GPS to tax us per mile, and finally it will be used to reinforce the unfolding US police state.
Ensuring Car GPS Navigation Devices are Implemented
Government intends to make it very difficult for us to evade the reach of GPS tracking. The Obama administration has undoubtedly seized control over the car industry for very strategic reasons.
Soon, all GM cars will be secretly fitted with GPS spy technology. Utilizing GPS to police people will be implemented on a far wider and more intensive scale in the future.
The UK Department of Transport has recently funded the development of GPS technology that will automatically take control of a car if a driver is exceeding the speed limit.
The technology is called Intelligent Speed Adaption, and it will be used to automatically slow cars down if they travel faster than the speed limit. Car GPS navigation devices have been co-opted by government to advance the agenda of the global elite.
A police state is unfolding in all major countries around the world, countries like America, the UK, and Australia. We cannot afford to surrender our freedom and privacy for technological convenience.
