Censorship and the Media are Uniquely Tied

The Relationship Between Censorship And The Media That Each Of Us Should Understand.

Censorship and the media in the United States is a huge topic that is hotly debated, and could not possibly be covered in one article, but we’ll give it a good run.

Many Americans think that there is none or at the very most very little censorship within the U.S., when actually the majority of Americans hardly know anything about how censorship works in the U.S.

That’s partly because we just don’t care and partly because we simply don’t realize that censorship is actually going on around us. Don’t feel bad if you haven’t yet picked up on it.

Most people who have received their education in the United States simply have not been taught anything about critical thinking and so it’s much easier for the elite that rule our country to pursue their goal for global domination.

Censorship and the media work partially by ignoring inconsistency that arise more often than you might think.

For example, the Bush Administration for the past eight years has been busy claiming that the war was inevitable because it was going to root out all evil that came in the form of terrorism.

There was a full article written by Michael Meacher the environment minister for the U.K. government, titled ‘This War on Terrorism is Bogus,’ and it did an excellent job of telling the world what was really going on, yet most Americans had never bothered to read it.

Why had they not had the chance? Because even though mainstream media knew it existed, they chose to ignore telling the world about it and so most had no idea it even existed.

Media Censorship is Wrong!

The U.S. Voice

While the United States may not have censorship by the traditional definition, it does have forms of censorship, particularly where the media is concerned.

While there may be no written rule not to report on a particular event or occurrence this is an unwritten understanding of when things should be silently left by the wayside.

For example, an international broadcasting organization that was federally funded chose not to air a story that included an interview with the Afghanistan ruler Mullah Mohammed Omar. Why did they choose to do this?

They made the decision after Richard Armitage the Deputy Secretary of State told the broadcasters doing so would be the same as giving the terrorists a platform for their message.

The governors then told employees that worked there to kill the story. And that was the end of a story that many Americans should have heard.

Stunned? You should know that this is but one small example of what goes on, on a daily basis. It’s certainly a rude awakening about the correlation between censorship and the media.

What Has Been Censored in the U.S.?

We’ve established that censorship actually occurs in the United States, but what is being censored? Just about anything the government does not want you to know about or that they fear you aren’t ready to hear about.

Take the censorship of UFO information that is ongoing. There is plenty of print material to indicate that UFO’s do indeed exist and yet seldom will you find the media covering such episodes.

How about the self censorship that occurs within the U.S.? There are many organizations and institutions that practice self censorship in an effort to maintain their own particular beliefs and ideology.

Here is a censorship you may not have heard yet. There is a proposed amendment to Title VI of the Higher Education Act. This change would deny a university federal funds if the faculty, guest lecturers, or students make any statements that criticize Israel.

Are We Being Censored?

The answer is an emphatic yes. So the next time you want to believe everything you hear or read, you might want to reconsider how censorship and the media affect your life.
