The 111Th Congress and Gun Control
The 111th Congress and Gun Control Legislation Have Sparked Active Debate. The Lock-Down Has Begun as the NWO Fascist State Removes Our Ability to Defend Ourselves.
The 111th Congress and gun control legislation of the Obama variety came into power following the 2008 elections.
The democrats won across the board with the new president and the majorities in the House and Senate.
The Democrats picked up an additional eight seats in the Senate after having already made major gains in the 2006 midterm elections to boost their lead to 59 seats.
They fell just short of their hopes for the 60-seat super majority. In the House of Representatives, the Democrats picked up 21 seats to push their lead to 257 seats.
This lead made the House republicans pretty much obsolete since they have no power save for the unlikely possibility of an attempt to override a presidential veto.
One of the first issues put on the agenda in the 111th Congress was the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act which is expected to be a big win for Democrats in the 111th Congress.
Gun control advocates are likely to pass the bill. The bill was introduced in the beginning of January and is currently making the rounds in the House Judiciary Committee.
The new gun control laws put forth in Congress are examples of yet more ways the elite are hoping to control Americans.
The banking elite buy the major political positions, including the presidency, in order to put forth their agenda for a New World Order. Disarming the American public is high on their to-do list.
Democrats: 111Th Congress and Gun Control
The Democrats expanded their already large lead in the 2008 elections by adding 21 seats, largely thanks to the failures of George W. Bush and the popularity of Barack Obama.
The Democrats in the House of Representatives are led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi of California, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer of Maryland, and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn of South Carolina.
The Democrats in the Senate are led by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, Senate Majority Whip Richard Durbin, and Deputy Whips Barbara Boxer of California, Tom Carper of Delaware, Bill Nelson of Florida, and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin.
Democrats in the United States have generally favored gun control legislation that falls short of an outright ban that would probably be found unconstitutional.
But the elite have found many ways to get around that pesky old Constitution that keeps trying to protect the individual liberties of the citizens of the United States of America.
Republicans: 111th Congress and Gun Control
The Republicans continued to lose seats in Congress entirely due to their constant support of the unconstitutional, illegal, and generally unpopular actions of former republican president, George W. Bush.
The Senate Republicans are led by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Minority Whip John Kyl of Arizona.
Other Republican leaders include: Republican Conference Chairman Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Republican Policy Committee Chairman John Ensign of Nevada, Republican Conference Vice Chair John Thune of South Dakota, and National Republican Senatorial Committee Chair John Cornyn of Texas.
The House Republicans are led by Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio and Minority Whip and quickly-rising political star Eric Cantor of Virginia.
Other Republican officials include: Republican Conference Chair Mike Pence, Republican Conference Vice Chair Cathy McMorris-Rodgers, and Republican Campaign Committee Chairman Pete Sessions.
Republicans in the United States have usually been supportive of the constitutional right to bear arms, and so tend to vote against gun control legislation, depending on the views of the majority of their constituents.
111Th Congress and Gun Control Legislation
The Democrats in the 111th Congress and gun control advocates introduced the Blair Holt bill on the floor of the House of Representatives through Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush.
The bill was intended to cut down on the amount of gun owners by forcing people to be approved by state systems and have their firearms license renewed every five years.
The bill would also force all current gun owners to become certified by the government within two years of the bill being enacted.
Reports have been released stating that the bill would require prospective gun buyers to be subject to a written test and have their medical and mental health test records made public.
The controversial bill is expected to cause a fierce battle on Capitol Hill between pro-gun control and pro-gun rights advocates.
