The Echelon global spy network has been evolving ever since the introduction of satellite communications in the 1970’s.

Using spy methods that exceed any one person’s imagination, Echelon is collecting data transmitted via most any means.

Email, fax, telephone, cell phone, internet searches, ham radio communications, just to name a few, are all ways they listen in.

This data is accumulated and sifted through by super computers using a program known as “DICTIONARY” that searches for keywords, key phrases, and voice recognition to determine the interests Echelon will pursue.

Using five central intelligence agencies around the world in unison, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United Kingdom, come together to make up the UKUSA Community that is an intelligence sharing network between the five English speaking nations.

This is not a coincidence that these five nations make up this network. Each country is located at a critical point on the map making it easier to spy into communications systems around the world from a geographic sense.

During WWII the United Kingdom and the United States came together to break secret codes that had been crippling the Allies for years.

They decripted the German code Enigma and the Japanese code Purple,and formed what was then the start of the UKUSA Community.

The start of the Echelon global spy network is undoubtedly traced back to the decryption of these codes.

Big Brother Really is Watching You

Though a fictitious tale of government control with absolute power, 24 hour surveillance, mass media manipulation, and intimidation with military violence, 1984 does not seem to be too far away from the truth this day and age.

It would appear that Big Brother really is watching you and we are not even aware of it.

Americans have all been told about databases recording everything you do on the Internet and during phone calls, but no one ever asks who is responsible for taking all this data and transforming it into anything useful.

During times of war and even during the cold war there was some need of a communications interceptor, that is why Japan and Germany had a code that needed to be broken in order to understand the messaging.
