There are Single Parent Families that Need Support

There Are Single Parent Families That Have to be on Welfare.

There are single parent families in today’s society that have that experience hardship and disadvantages that are long term.

Expensive day care services, not enough quality time spent with children, the work and family imbalance and financial struggles are among some of the continuous problems that these families have to face every day.

Many families that fall in this category are headed by women and fathers are nowhere to be seen.

Absentee fathers prefer to go through the court systems to contribute to the household because they feel it will cost them more if they have to deal with the mother of their child.

This is totally unfair to the children involved and fathers should be held accountable and responsible for having these mothers of their child exist on the bare minimum and also have to access the welfare system.

They were involved in making these babies so it is not fair to tax payers to be picking up the tab and the children are the ones who suffer in the end.

The Travesty of a Society

There are single parent families who are below the poverty line and every day is a constant struggle to make ends meet.

Children go to bed hungry and organizations have to intervene to help these families who cannot even exist on welfare alone.

The economic struggle of these families end up costing the tax payers more than it would if fathers were involved.

To make matters worse, mothers have to take on overtime work or settle for working two jobs just to add more to a depleting pay check.

Inflation does not help because prices of bare necessities are not getting lower and salaries are not getting higher.

Some mothers prefer to stay home with their children, but the only way to do so is to accept money from the welfare system, which is not even enough to live a decent life.

Working mothers endure the agony of being away from their children to make ends meet. The eight hour day shift is torture to single mothers with small children.

Government does have subsidized day care for mothers in need, but the strict requirements push some mothers away and make them settle for the high priced day care services that they can barely afford.

There is a Reason

There are single parent families that exist due to absent fathers, divorce, separation, imprisonment and out of wedlock mothers.

When these situations are created by divorce, the courts usually make the right decisions for the family by issuing a divorce decree that has certain rules the other parent has to follow.

When there is an out of wedlock mother trying to raise a family on her own, it is usually due to the wrong choices she made to get pregnant.

In these situations, it is so difficult for both child and mother to have a normal existence without the help of family members and friends.

There are single parent families that have to deal with a father or mother who is incarcerated and this takes a toll on the children because there are usually no funds from the father to give child support and the mother tries to keep the children protected from the prison system.
